Project Brief: Delhi monuments stands as a crucial piece of Delhi’s history, offering insights into the architectural and cultural grandeur of the Mughal era. The monument continues to enrich the cultural tapestry of India’s capital.
The DPR focuses on Mehrauli, Humayun’s tomb, Safdarjung Tomb and Purana Qila with a primary and secondary research of the built structure and the site and proposing a comprehensive plan for tourism amenities.
Delhi monuments revitalization focuses on five key areas: Cultural Protection & Interpretation- enhancing the site with sustainable practices and immersive storytelling through AR and VR; Service Design- ensuring seamless visitor experiences with improved entry, signage, and facilities; Accessibility- promoting inclusivity through Universal Design principles; Environmental Sustainability- minimizing pollution with sensitive interventions; and Operation & Maintenance- establishing clear benchmarks for long-term preservation and functionality.
