Preparation of the DPRs and project supervision for Maharaja Narsingh Mahal and Ghudsal (Sheopur Fort), Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh

Project Scope: Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) comprising of drawings, survey, documentation, condition assessment, specifications, items of work, tender documents, take off sheets, rate analysis etc. and Site Supervision.

Client: World Monument Fund

Project Brief:Phase I includes Undertaking primary and secondary research of the fort complex; a total station survey of the full fort complex and its surroundings; preparation of architectural documentation and condition mapping of the Mahal, its various components and Ghudsal; developing a risk and value based matrix to determine urgent and necessary actions to be taken for structural strengthening, controlling water seepage, deterioration of art work (mirror work, stucco, etc) and landscape elements; Identification of macro level issues that have an impact on conservation of the site.

The outputs and deliverables include Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) comprising of drawings, (survey, documentation, condition assessment etc.), specifications, items of work, tender documents, take off sheets, rate analysis etc. The DPRs, estimates for the DPRs and the tender documents are to be prepared as per the financial year budget allocations done by the Department of Archaeology, Archives and Museums, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Phase II would include site supervision during implementation of conservation works through periodic visits; certifying the adequacy and quality of the work executed by the Contractor to the Project Monitoring Committee from time to time; providing details of the conservation plan such as construction details to the contractor as per the need of the project; certify specifications and quantities in case of any changes; photo documentation of work in progress. The Consultant shall provide supervising in respect of the work undertaken by the Contractor for twelve (12) months from the date of start of its construction, beyond which extra charges may be levied by the Consultant as mutually agreed between the two parties. The outputs and deliverables include monthly reports outlining the onsite work supervised.

Project Cost: 101.05 Lakhs (Phase 1 only); Conservation plan budget (to be projected)
