Project Scope: The project, ‘State Tourism Budget Approved Orchha Works’ has four components – Citadel Complex, Chaturbhuj Temple, Kanchana Ghat, and Lakshmi Temple. The overall scope of work encompasses background studies, assessments, context analysis and preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) inclusive of preliminary design Layout plan, infrastructure plans, working drawings, BOQ, schedule of area statement, detailed specification of entire items of works to be executed, schedule of quantities and analysis of rates. The final stage shall be the supervision of the execution of the proposed works inducing supervision for quality assurance and adherence to DPR.

Project Brief: Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (MPSTDC) has commissioned a project to conceptualize, design and supervise the development works in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh to DRONAH in April 2023.

The main objective is to develop and upgrade the infrastructure in Orchha without compromising its Heritage character and values. The project also aims to establish a design language for amenities, street furniture, visitor facilities complementing the heritage of Orchha, so that the design language can set an example to be used in other upcoming projects in Orchha too. For the same, the scope includes formulating and implementing toolkit design for the development projects in Orchha.
