Project Brief: The Department of Cultural Affairs, Archaeology and Museums envisages an expansion and upgradation of the Saheed Bhagat Singh Museum at Khatkar Kalan and has acquired additional land with a total of 10 acres of linear agricultural patch stretching from the current museum land adjacent to the highway towards south crossing the railway line and reaching up to his ancestral house. The purpose is to create a grand museum of international standards that appropriately pays homage to the great revolutionary martyrs of the Punjab and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who laid down their lives for the liberation of their mland.
