Project Brief: Kharda is a village in the Jamked Taluka in Ahmednagar District. Located about 213Km from Pune and 100Kms from Ahmednagar, it is a small village located to the west of Jamkhed, very close to the prior boundary of the Nizam and the Maratha empire.Due to its proximity to the border as well as its location, Kharda was an important point on the route for trade and commerce. This led to the development of the village and it was of an strategic importance during the rule of the Maratha Empire.
